Liposomal Glutathione

In May 2008 I began experimenting with liposomal glutathione.

I have ordered liposomal glutathione from three different places.

One of the products has B-12 in it too.  The preservatives used in each brand are different.

My results with liposomal glutathione:

There is one other thing I started doing
recently that also made a big, and I mean a big, improvement.

I started trying different brands and different dosages of the
liposomal form of glutathione. The difference is like day and night.

For example, I improved enough recently that I was able to go on a
five mile bike ride one evening. The next morning I was dragging. I
felt very fatigued. Within 20 minutes of taking a dose of liposomal
glutathione, the fatigue was gone and I was being very productive
getting things done. It doesn't last forever but I have found that
each dosage seems to improve my health and reduce my chronic fatigue
more and more.

Dosages of Liposomal Glutathione:

Start with a small amount to make sure you don't have any bad reactions.

I am keeping a log of everything I try and every dosage change I
make. See:

Forms of Glutathione:

There are several ways people take glutathione from what I can tell:

1. Orally pills meant for swallowing- I'm told glutathione doesn't pass
from the intestines to the blood very effectively, so this isn't that
good,

2. Sublingual tablets meant to dissolve and be absorbed under your tongue -
I feel this has helped me some,

3. Nebulized solution meant to be inhaled- I'm told glutathione can pass
easier from the lungs to the blood than by most other methods. Some
people seem to have difficulty tolerating this form of glutathione. I
don't know the details.

4. Orally liposomal form meant to be swallowed in a small amount of water
or juice- Supposedly 90% of the glutathione pases from your intestines
to your blood. I can confirm that I definately can feel when the
glutathione enters my blood after I take a dosage of liposomal
glutathione. It's noticable within 15 minutes.

What Is Liposomal Glutathione
I'm not a medical doctor nor a bio-chemist. The following is from
http://autismcoach.com/Glutathione%20-%20Liposome%20Form.htm
which is one of the places that sells the product so keep that in
mind:

Glutathione is one of the most powerful antioxidants that the body
produces and is used to bind and remove toxins, including heavy
metals from the body. [snip]

Impaired ability to detoxify and protect cells from damage may lead
to brain damage, including impaired ability of neurons to communicate
with each other, impaired proliferation of nerve cells during early
childhood development, and the die-off of neurons within the brain.
Increasing levels of glutathione protects the brain and other parts
of the body from this damage.

Previously, the only way to take glutathione and have it absorbed was
to have it infused intravenously, or absorbed through the skin with a
trans-dermal cream. This is because glutathione is typically
destroyed during digestion and what little is not destroyed may be
difficult for cells to absorb. However, this new form of glutathione
now allows it to be quickly and efficiently absorbed into the
bloodstream and cells orally by enclosing the glutathione molecule
within tiny, nanosize spheres of fat called liposomes.

Glutathione (GSH) is a short string of amino acids called a peptide.
It is composed of three amino acids: glycine, glutamine and cysteine.
It is one of the main antioxidants in the cell and is considered
a "key antioxidant" in the function of cells.

The functions of glutathione include:

* Protects cells against free radicals
* Removes toxins
* Enhances immune function
* Regulates protein and DNA growth

Glutathione tends to be deficient in those suffering from chronic
auto-immune and neurological degenerative diseases including Autism,
Alzheimer's, Parkinson's Disease, Cystic Fibrosis, Heart Attack and
Stroke, and Liver Disease. Additional diseases affected by
glutathione deficiency include: HIV/AIDS, Cancer, Seizure, Sickle
Cell Anemia.

What are Liposomes?
Liposomes, tiny spheres (100 - 500 nanometer size) have been
demonstrated to have 90% absorption in human studies.

The liposome in this product is wrapped around glutathione.

The liposome in liposomal glutathione is made from Essential
Phospholipids (EPL), natural components of human and animal cell
membranes. A continuous supply of EPL, or its constituents, is
essential for cell maintence, and helps to promote efficient
communication between cells, including nerve cells within the brain.
A key component of health and well being, the EPL in this product is
derived from soy lecithin. These phospholids are derived contain soy
oil, but no soy protein.
Not recommended for those with a severe soy allergy

Four suspected problems with taking liposomal glutathione that people have reported to me:

Soy allergies

Perservatives

Impurtities in current products

Glutathione intolerance -
